This is a collection of guides for testing the Spanish (Mexican Spanish / es-MX) translations in the PurpleBlossom.ai web application.
PurpleBlossom.ai is a business growth platform designed for solopreneurs — people who run their own business alone. The platform provides tools for business coaching, campaign creation, storytelling, learning content, and a supportive community, all guided by an AI assistant called "Blossom."
The platform has been built in English and then translated into Mexican Spanish. These guides will walk you through every screen in the application so you can verify that the Spanish translations are natural, correct, complete, and culturally appropriate for Mexican Spanish speakers.
Your job is to go through every screen of the application and verify that:
You are the expert on how this should sound. If something feels wrong, awkward, or confusing, it probably is. Trust your instincts.
Each guide covers one area of the application. Work through them in order, starting with the Getting Started guide.
| Guide | What It Covers |
|---|---|
| Getting Started | How to log in, switch to Spanish, and what to look for on every screen |
| Navigation & Header | The sidebar menu on the left, the top header bar, and the command palette |
| Dashboard | The main dashboard screen that appears after you log in |
| Business Profile | The business profile wizard with its 11 sections |
| Campaigns | Creating and managing marketing campaigns |
| AI Hub | The AI assistant area with 4 different personalities |
| Learning Center | Learning paths, course modules, and educational content |
| Support & Community | Help system, community questions and answers, local groups, and memos |
| Stories | The story library and story editor |
| BlossomTools | Specialized tools: SignetWare, PlanWare, IdentityWare, EmailWare, and LandingWare |
| Settings & Modals | User settings, persona selection, notifications, login screens, and guided tours |
When testing each screen, watch for these types of issues:
Any text that still appears in English when the application is set to Spanish. This is the most basic issue — everything the user sees should be in Spanish.
Text that is technically correct Spanish but sounds unnatural, robotic, or overly literal. The translation should sound like something a Mexican person would naturally say, not a word-for-word conversion from English.
Spanish text is often longer than the English original. Sometimes this causes text to get cut off, overflow its container, or overlap with other elements. Watch for words that end abruptly or text that runs off the edge of a button or label.
Misspellings, wrong verb conjugations, incorrect gender agreement, missing accents, or any other grammatical errors.
The same concept should be translated the same way everywhere. For example, if "campaign" is translated as "campana" in one place and "campana de marketing" in another, that is inconsistent. Note both places so we can decide which is correct.
Idioms, humor, or tone that do not work for Mexican Spanish speakers. The application should use "usted" or "tu" consistently (not mixing them). The level of formality should feel appropriate for a professional business tool.
Sometimes you may see text like {{name}} or {count} appearing on screen instead of being replaced with actual values. This is a technical bug — report it with the exact text you see.
For each issue you find, please record the following:
You can organize your findings in a simple list or table. Here is an example:
| Screen | Text Shown | Problem | Suggested Fix |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dashboard | "Welcome back" | Untranslated | "Bienvenido de nuevo" |
| Sidebar | "Herrami..." | Text cut off | Make button wider or shorten to "Herramientas" |
| Campaign form | "Seleccione su campana" | Missing tilde | "Seleccione su campana" with tilde on the n |
